Accessing Wireless Networks

WI-FI

For Staff:

  • Access to wireless by DISTRICT PROVIDED devices (Staff laptops, desktops, etc.)

  • Access to wireless by GUESTS AND PERSONALLY OWNED devices (privately owned tablets, phones, and laptops)

    • Use the network name: RCS BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology)

    • There is no password for this network and it has no internal RCS network access

    • No certificates or imports are required

    • Same student internet content filters apply with no exceptions

  • Please Note: The use of personal assistant devices such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Google Nest, Etc. is not supported.

For Students:

  • Access to wireless by DISTRICT PROVIDED student devices (Chromebooks, iPads, etc.)

    • District owned devices are connected to wireless through the RCS Student Devices wireless network which will be automatically distributed OR connected by a Technology Services technician only.

    • Using mobile hotspots for connectivity on campus is not recommended and is a direct violation of the internet and device usage agreements and is subject to disciplinary action.

  • Access to wireless by PERSONALLY OWNED devices (privately owned tablets, phones, and laptops)
