Rome City Schools is proud to announce three additions to the Rome High Wolves Football coaching staff ahead of the 2023 season.
Shawn Sutton will serve as Associate Head Coach and Receivers Coach. Sutton has served as head coach and offensive coordinator at several prestigious high school football programs, including; Hoover High School, Valdosta High School, Colquitt County High School, and Lowndes County High School. In those roles, Sutton has been part of numerous State Champion teams and a National Championship team.
Steve Humphrey comes aboard as Offensive Coordinator. Humphrey’s resume includes experience as head coach and offensive coordinator at numerous schools, including; Mceachern High School, Ware County High School, and Camden County High School.
The role of Offensive Line Coach will be filled by Buck Hanson. Hanson has coached for State Champions Lee County, Lowndes County, and Colquitt County. In those roles, he coached over 60 scholarship players and two players that have gone on to play in the NFL.
