Rome, Georgia - Rome High School is excited to announce the appointment of Trevor Proctor as the new Softball Head Coach for the Rome Wolves.
A Rome native, Proctor attended East Central Elementary, Rome Middle School, and Model High School before playing four years of college baseball at Berry College.
Proctor's coaching experience includes one year as a middle school assistant baseball coach, one year as a middle school head baseball coach, and one year as an assistant high school softball coach. Proctor's dedication to coaching and his passion for the game of softball make him a perfect fit for the Rome High School softball program.
Proctor stated, "The Rome High Softball Program and the players mean a lot to me. The girls work hard and want to put in the extra time to improve. Seeing this, as a coach, makes me ecstatic and ready to get to work."
Proctor's vision for the Rome High School softball program is to establish a winning culture by investing in the players both on and off the field. He plans to push the players to be the best versions of themselves every day, both in the classroom and on the field. Proctor also hopes to get the school and community to invest in the players, so the girls can see the support they have from others.
"We are thrilled to have Trevor Proctor leading our softball program," said Rome High School Principal, Mr. Parke Wilkinson. "His dedication to the players and his passion for the game will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the program. We look forward to the future of Rome High School Softball under his leadership."
Proctor added, "This place and program is where my heart is and wants to stay and make a difference. The time for Rome High Softball is now, and by investing in these girls each and every day on and off the field in various ways, a winning culture will be established."
