Laura Walley, currently serving as the Principal of Elm Street Elementary, has been an integral part of the Rome City Schools community for 19 years. Her personal experience as a former student of Rome City Schools, combined with her diverse professional background as a teacher, academic coach, and school administrator, has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the educational journey students undertake within the district.

Throughout her tenure as the Principal of Elm Street Elementary, Walley has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. Her positive attitude, professionalism, and composure in challenging situations have been instrumental in fostering a supportive and conducive learning environment. Moreover, her ability to anticipate the needs of stakeholders at all levels of the system, with a particular emphasis on the needs of students, highlights her dedication to student success.
