Four Rome City Schools staff members plan to show off their basketball skills and raise money for a good cause all the same time by playing in the ESP Big Hoops 2024 game on Friday, April 5. The game pits local educators against local entrepreneurs playing to help raise funds for ESP Rome.
The four Rome City Schools participants include Superintendent Dr. Eric L. Holland, Gifted Teacher Gary Jones, Credit Recovery Coordinator Dawson Wehunt and School Resource Officer Anthony Banks.
All four are helping raise money to support ESP Rome as well as playing in the basketball game on Friday, April 5 at the Huffman Center at Darlington School.
“Rome City Schools is all about relationships, commitment, and service, and we are happy to take part in the Big Hoops event and help support ESP Rome,” Dr. Holland says. “Raising money for ESP Rome is very important, and we also are planning to help the educators team win on the court.”
ESP Rome provides a nurturing environment with 360 programming, dedicated family support, and unforgettable Hooray Summer Camps, designed exclusively for individuals with disabilities and their families.
