Educators from around the state got to hear firsthand how Rome City Schools is focusing on improving student outcomes and helping improve student and teacher experiences.
On Monday, at the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) Conference, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Barbara Patrick-Lashley along with Anna K. Davie Principal Brant Amerman, and Main Elementary Principal Taurence Phillips led a presentation focusing on how district and school leaders helped establish a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations.
The group shared how they launched the Science of Reading Initiatives to meet state requirements and are reimagining the system-wide instructional system promoting literacy for life.
Also on Monday, Superintendent Dr. Eric L. Holland was part of a presentation talking about how Rome City Schools has leveraged The Believe In You Student Empowerment Program to help elevate both the student and teacher experience at Rome City Schools.
“Rome City Schools is always excited to share our successes and strategies with other educational leaders and to learn ways other schools and systems are solving tough problems,” Dr. Holland says.
The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders is a statewide umbrella organization, composed of seven professional associations for school leaders.
