Rome High School senior Adriana Churchill has been selected to serve on the 2024 Georgia School Boards Association Youth Advisory Council.
Churchill is one of only 11 students selected from across the state after submitting a written application and video that showcased her hard work, insightfulness, and engagement.
The GSBA Youth Advisory Council is a dynamic platform that brings together young leaders from various public schools to actively participate in the discourse on educational policies and practices. This council empowers students to voice their perspectives and contribute to decision-making processes, ensuring that youth viewpoints are integral in shaping the educational landscape. Through this initiative, GSBA fosters a culture of engagement, leadership development, and advocacy among students, thereby nurturing the next generation of informed and involved citizens.
“We are very proud of Adriana, and we know that she will represent Rome High School and Rome City Schools well on the council,” Rome High School Principal Parke Wilkinson said.
