Thirteen Rome High School students from the FCCLA Chapter recently competed in two competitions.
Twelve students competed in the Region 1 STAR Competition at Ridgeland High School. Those students prepared multiple projects over the past few months involving concepts such as repurposing and redesigning used items, creating wellness plans for students, and supplying Chick-fil-A with a Little Library for children's books.
Another student, Diego Orellana, competed in the Region 1 Knife Skills event at Dalton Career and College Academy.
All 13 students have advanced to the state level competitions at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in March.
