GOVERNOR'S HONORS: congratulations to Rome High School's Christina Tomlin for being selected as a semifinalist for the 2023 Georgia Governor's Honors program!
Approximately 4,200 students were nominated to the state-level competition. Nearly 1,500 were selected as semifinalists for state interviews/auditions.
RCS is SO proud of all of our nominees, and can't wait to see what's next for Christina!


ROME HIGH BASEBALL: a big win for your Rome High Wolves last night, as they beat Paulding County 5-1 .
Braxton Wade got the start for the Wolves, allowing one hit and one run over three innings, striking out seven and walking zero.
Mull, Ellard, Moore, and Farrer all had one hit to lead the Wolves.

ROME GROWN SPOTLIGHT: This week we honor Rome High School C/O 2020's Carson Garrett. This RHS salutatorian and self-identified 'space nerd' is an Aerospace Engineering BS/MS Honors Program student at Georgia Tech, a NASA Johnson Space Center Pathways Intern, and contestant on Survivor season 44, which premieres March 1!

BACK TO THE PACK: New for 2023, Rome City Schools is celebrating our students who have come Back to the Pack and are now serving the next generation at RCS.
This week, we honor Ginger DeAngelus Jarrell. Raised by two RCS educators, Ginger graduated from West End, Rome Middle, and RHS before returning Back to the Back as a Kindergarten teacher at West End.
