Rome City Schools and the Rome City Commission Finalize Funding  for Rome Middle School  Rome, GA - Rome City Schools is excited to announce the approval of funding for the construction of the new Rome Middle School. Last night, the Rome City Commission passed the Rome Middle School supplemental bond resolution by a 5-4 vote. Before the Rome City Commission meeting, the Rome City Schools Board of Education voted to finalize the supplemental bond resolution with a unanimous vote, making the vision a soon-to-be reality for Rome City Schools’ students.   The approval by the Rome City Commission affirms the commitment to responsibly fund and construct the new middle school within the allocated budget of $108 million, reflecting a dedication to fiscal responsibility.  Last night’s approval paved the way for the realization of this visionary project, embodying a commitment to providing students with a well-rounded education that will undoubtedly shape the future of Rome. The approval of funding for the new Rome Middle School is a resounding success for the community, marking a historic step towards progress and promise. Rome City Schools invites the community to celebrate this significant milestone and looks forward to the positive impact the new school will have on the education and future of Rome City Schools, aligning with our mission statement: "All students will graduate from Rome High School prepared for college or work."
