ATTENTION RCS PARENTS: Progress Reports will be sent home today, Thursday April 27, 2023!
It was 'Time to boogie' at Rome Middle School as the 8th grade semi-formal took center stage! Needless to say, the students were ready to let loose and show off their moves. From start to finish it was a non-stop dance party and a blast for everyone involved!
What a fun night it was building relationships with families at the Spring open house 'Shine Your Light' at West End Elementary! Parents not only had an opportunity to meet with teachers, but there were also outstanding displays of student work and performances by the 6th grade band, chorus, and cloggers!
RCS College Decision Day will be this Friday, April 28th! Teachers and Staff, help support our seniors at RHS by wearing your favorite college or university's t-shirt and jeans on Friday! Go Wolves! #1Rome #ReimagineRCS
Happy Administrative Professionals' Day! Your hard work does not go unnoticed! Thank you for all you do!
The Special Olympics will forever have our hearts!
Congratulations to all of our Rome City Schools Special Olympics Superstars that participated in the 2023 Floyd-County Special Olympics!
What a fun day! Our Rome City Schools Pre-K and kindergarten readers who turned in 80-100 reading logs enjoyed a wonderful sunny day at a petting zoo event at Rome High School with several stations that included, learning about the animals and their habitats, planting and growing flowers, P.A.W.S, fun and educational games, and a snack break with cookies! A special shout out to Mrs. Reid, Mrs. Dunaway, Mrs. Price, the CCA Department and students and our RCS cheerleaders and football captains for making this possible!
ROME GROWN SPOTLIGHT: Rome High School c/o 2010's Rebecca Gossett. Rebecca served as the Springer Opera House's Production Stage Manager for eight seasons before becoming the Company Manager in 2022.

A Rome Braves Ball game, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, music, Roxie the mascot and great weather, it can't get any better than that for our RCS Students!
Rome City Schools had 965 readers attend a Rome Braves field trip for reaching their fourth reading incentive goal of the year! Mrs. Reid, coordinator of the incentive program, organized the event for students in grades 1-6 with the goal being to have read 80-100 books or nights read to attend.
Our goal is to keep this reading habit continuing through the summer and into the next school year. Our librarians, teachers, parents and principals play a huge role in motivating our readers.
RCS elementary schools will continue to make reading a focal point for our 2023-24 school year.
Thank you, students and parents, for participating in our reading incentive program and making reading a top priority!
Let's head #BacktothePack! Tonight, we honor C/O 2006, Ashley Hamby, a West End, Rome Middle, and Rome High graduate! Ms. Hamby currently serves as an Agriculture Education Teacher, FFA Advisor and Department Chair at Rome Middle School! We are so happy you are #BacktothePack!
Did you know that about one billion people recognize Earth day each year around the world?! Not only does that make it one of the largest observance days, but it also inspires so many people to act for a cause in which it benefits our environment!
How will you be celebrating Earth Day? Share with us in the comments!
MEET THE WOLF PACK: Are you the parent of a Rome City Schools 6th grader? You don't want to miss this opportunity to ask questions of and get to know the Rome Middle School Admin team! They'll be going live, sharing information about the school and what it has to offer students.

A huge shoutout to Cai Sabino and Lyn McPherson for serving on this year's State Superintendent's Advisory Council (SSAC)! The SSAC is a group of students who discuss how decisions made at the state level are affecting students throughout GA. Great work on this responsibility!
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which helps recognize the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Rome has some wonderful family serving agencies who help us bring awareness to these issues and to help our children and families thrive.
We encourage you to join us in wearing blue on Monday for Blue Monday, to bring awareness to the community problem of child abuse and neglect!
