Look how much we've grown! East Central Elementary recently commemorated the 100th day of school with its annual Academic Growth Parade, in which students, faculty, and staff celebrated all the kiddos' successes and progress so far this school year. Lots of proud smiling faces!

Friday, Main Elementary School held its first annual Father/Daughter Dance. Everyone was super excited to attend and had a blast! Not to mention, everyone looked wonderful in their Sunday best. These are the types of events, Dr. Sublett says, he wants Main to be known for.

ROME GROWN SPOTLIGHT: Jackson Wood c/o 2021. Jackson currently serves in the US Navy, where he recently completed his first deployment on the USS Harry S. Truman.
USS Truman, Carrier Air Wing 1, and its escorts were the United States' most visible deterrent aimed at Russia’s expanding invasion of Ukraine. The carrier strike group was also part of ongoing operations on NATO’s eastern front.
Serving as an Aviation Machinist Mate, Jackson works on FA-18 fighter jets and is attached to squadron VFA-211, The Fighting Checkmates based in Virginia Beach.

Rome High School Senior Alonte Lewis was recently awarded the Exchange Club's A.C.E. (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award, which recognizes high school students who have overcome great physical, emotional, or social obstacles and are now eligible for high school graduation.
Alonte shared his story and was the overall winner of a $500 scholarship.
Congratulations to Alonte! We wish him much success in his future endeavors!

A BIG congrats to our Rome High School AP students & teachers, who were recognized w/ the prestigious College Board Female Diversity Award for Computer Science. Only 1,100 schools earned the award WORLDWIDE, which requires 50% of AP Computer Science examinees be female students!
